About
A Story Behind Every Garment…
Imogen’s Wardrobe is an organic, ethical and sustainable children’s wear label and was founded by Beth Cameron. Beth trained in fashion & textile design at John Moore’s University in Liverpool and after a career in marketing and PR, became a Mum and was inspired to start Imogen’s Wardrobe. It is a small business, growing from the kitchen table at East Rose Cottage. The idea was born when Beth struggled to find well designed, fun, children’s clothes that are ethical, organic and sustainably produced.
Beth’s designs are handmade from organic fabrics and hand-picked, upcycled and new quality fabrics, the t-shirts are all ethically produced. The production ethos behind Imogen’s Wardrobe is sourcing fabrics and trimmings in a sustainable and ethical way. This means there is also an interesting, guilt free, story behind every piece of clothing, which forms part of the appeal for parents and has inspired the hang tag stories for the little ones wearing the clothes.
This blog documents the journey of Imogen’s Wardrobe designs from conception to a growing business. Beth is currently designing and making garments for girls and boys age 6 months to 7 years.
